Our Global Climate

(Books, Papers, Audios, and Videos on this topic compiled by D. N. Anderson)

The earth's  climate is subject to constant change.  Some of these fluctuations affect the entire globe and some are local, regional, or continental.  This reading list is primarily concerned with those changes that are global in extent.  The readings concern changes that occur over periods longer than a human life, but evidence of the changes may be evident over periods as short as a decade or two.  At present there is much discussion about "Global Warming" and the possibility that it may be caused or at least enhanced by human activities (anthropogenic-AGW hypothesis) such as the burning of fossil fuel and the global increase of carbon dioxide (CO2) in the atmosphere.

The items mentioned below are not representative of the whole global climate issue. They are generally skeptical of the AGW hypothesis) since the other side is strongly represented in the popular press. For a pro AGW view see www.realclimate.org These folks are the key players in the Climategate scandal and they use this site to run down their critics when they feel such treatment is necessary.
